What schools are available for students moving to the area?

The local school district is Georgetown Independent School District and serves over 11,000 students across nine elementary schools, four middle schools and three high schools. Wolf Ranch children will attend Wolf Ranch Elementary (onsite), Tippit Middle School or East View High School, each within 10 minutes of the community. Wolf Ranch residents enjoy the benefit of onsite elementary with the brand new state-of-the-art Wolf Ranch Elementary School that just opened this Fall 2020.

For families looking for alternatives to the great public school offerings, Georgetown also has both public charger and private schools within a few minutes’ drive. Located on a spacious 40-acre campus, Gateway College Prep School offers K-12 grades with a focus on high academic standards and small graduating class sizes of 100-125 students. Grace Academy is a private Christian school offering pre-K – 12 grades. And Georgetown Charter Academy, part of the Priority Charter School system, offers pre-K-9 grades.  For daycare, summer programs, and the littles Primrose School of Georgetown is just down the street on Wolf Ranch Pkwy offering programs from 6 mos – 12 years of age.

For college age students, Georgetown is also home to Southwestern University a small private university founded in 1840 and the first higher education institution to be established in Texas. Undergraduate enrollment is approximately 1,300 and offers an integrated arts and sciences curriculum.

How long is the commute to area employers from Georgetown, TX?

Given the excellent location just minutes from I-35, Wolf Ranch residents are within close proximity to jobs in Georgetown, TX, such as St. David’s, as well as all of the major employment areas in nearby cities, including Round Rock, Cedar Park, Austin, Temple, and Killeen. For residents driving to the new Apple Campus for work or the Domain, the Georgetown to Austin commute is approximately 20 minutes, or for those that work at Dell in Round Rock it is just 15 minutes from Wolf Ranch.
