When it comes to Lifestyle Programs, ours here at Wolf Ranch stands out among the rest, both in terms of activities and dedication. Dana Thomas is our "Director of Fun," community liaison, and a resident's shoulder to cry on.
Part of her role as "Director of Fun," is bringing the community together through community events, food trucks, and connecting homeowners with their new neighbors. She plans a variety of events scheduled throughout the year to accommodate a diverse group of residents, from toddlers to empty nesters theres something for everyone! We encourage all residents to jump in and enjoy everything our homeowner lifestyle program has to offer.
In 2020 it was a bit of a rocky start with Covid-19, but we found our way and adapted to the new normal. In March to May, we continued community involvement through helping local businesses, the local St. David's Georgetown Hospital, and had homeowners create Kindness Rocks to lift a neighbors' day. The Kindness Rocks was something that our homeowners decorated and placed around the community for neighbors to find. We partnered up with two local Georgetown restaurants, and our homeowners raised money to donate food to the hospital workers at St. David's in Georgetown.
The busy summer calendar has kept homeowners engaged with virtual activities, to name a few highlights; beer tasting, storytime with Disney characters, succulent plant demo, home design demos, mixology class, and more! In addition, we launched our weekly food truck nights, which has been the leader of our lifestyle programming during this time. The food truck nights are an excellent way for the community to support local businesses weekly and provide an essential service to our homeowners. Our community has tasted delicious eats from Hands Off My Funnel Cake, Elie's Egg Rolls, Garbo's Lobster, Scoops Ice Cream, Hula Cowgirl Shaved Ice, and more! All food trucks we partner with are accommodating with the recommended guidelines for pre-ordering, pre-paying, and social distancing.
At Wolf Ranch, we also keep our resident's well being in mind, and we provide classes to help nurture the mind and body, which in turn promotes healthy lifestyles. Our community calendar is full of multiple workout classes per week, including HIIT class, Bootcamp class, and Water Aerobics classes. We even throw in some extra fun ones throughout the year, such as Goat Yoga, which is perfect for the kiddos to participate in and pool relays for all ages!
Of course, our award-winning amenity center, The Den, has been a significant contributor to the success of the HOA Lifestyle Program. This state-of-the-art amenity center hosts an infinity-edge with pool views overlooking the San Gabriel River. This social hall is a hub for residents, where they can attend cooking classes, exotic zoo animal Q&A, Adult & Kids craft sessions, book clubs, beer/wine tastings, and community meetings. Our homeowners can even rent this space for family gatherings, which is an excellent benefit for being a homeowner at Wolf Ranch.
Hillwood Communities has always believed in giving back, and Wolf Ranch is proud to continue that tradition. Our philanthropy of choice this year is working closely with Georgetown ISD, including our new Wolf Ranch Elementary School, Tippit Middle School, and Eastview High School.
We hope that through our events at Wolf Ranch in Georgetown, TX, we can help cultivate life-long friendships and help support our families grow along with our community here at Wolf Ranch. Our goal for our Lifestyle Program is to bring our residents together multiple times a month and to create a strong sense of community, connect homeowners on a personal level, and to make everlasting memories.
