While temperatures heat up in Central Texas, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy the summer both inside or out at Wolf Ranch and around the city! We’ve curated a list of events and fun things to do in Georgetown that will ensure you have the best summer yet!
Summer Festival Fun
Market Days on The Square takes place on the second Saturday of each month (March through November) and features booths with arts and crafts, jewelry, unique clothing, woodcrafts, ironworks, festive foods, collectibles, stained glass, along with music all day! July and August hours are 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Explore local establishments and discover your new favorite local beers during The Blazin’ Beer Crawl, August 6, 3:00 p.m. –6:00 p.m. during a self-paced walking tour with craft beer tastings inside of our Downtown Georgetown retail stores and restaurants. Ticket holders will receive a map of all of the participating locations and can choose which order to sample and visit merchants.
Ways to Keep Your Cool
In addition to all the fun Georgetown, TX events happening this summer, you’re probably also in search of fun ways to keep cool in the summer heat. We’ve got a list of great things to do in Georgetown that are sure to make the soaring temps more bearable.
Spend the day swimming, kayaking or boating on Lake Georgetown. Make a day of it at Russell Park, Jim Hogg Park or Cedar Breaks Park. All three parks offer great facilities for picnicking, swimming or launching your boat.
Visit the Blue Hole in downtown Georgetown and let the kids splash and enjoy the scenic view of the small waterfall and limestone bluffs on either side of the San Gabriel River. This park is easy to walk to from many points throughout the city or to get to from the Georgetown Regional Trails.
Looking for something to do inside? Check out one of the great productions at the Georgetown Palace Theater. Plays are going on throughout the summer, including musicals, The Drowsy Chaperone and Wizard of Oz and comedies, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike and Around the World in 80 Days.
Go underground at Inner Space Cavern and experience a unique and beautifully preserved cave system with a year-round temperature of a cool 72 degrees. It’s a great place to take the whole family or any visitors from out of town. The 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 Adventure Tour is daily and leaves every 20-30 minutes. You can also opt for more intermediate experiences with the Hidden Passages Tour, Wild Cave Tour and Ice Age Tour.

Wolf Ranch’s award-winning on-site Lifestyle Manager, Dana Thomas, does an amazing job organizing and hosting 300+ community events each year.
